Why do I enjoy doing Children’s parties? By Laura-Jayne
“Find a job you love, and you’ll never have to work a day.” One of my favourite quotes, and I guess a rather bold statement! No job is without its difficulties and stress from time to time, but I’m extremely fortunate to be a part of a company that allows me to work and find so much reward in doing so. For around 4 and a half years now, I have sung, danced and dressed up in some crazy costumes for countless children’s birthday celebrations. In my time doing so, I’ve learnt so many lessons about entertaining, and generally working in such a fast paced, unpredictable industry. I’m currently training in Musical Theatre, with the aim of attending Drama School in the near future, so I couldn’t really wish for a better way to build these skills around everything else I’m currently involved in.
Ever thought about hosting a joint party with a friend? If your children share the same friends and their birthdays are around the same time a joint party could be the answer. As well as keeping costs down it means that you can plan an amazing party – and what’s better than to share you party with your best friend! (more…)

We love magic and sparkles and we certainly love parties when we have not one but two princesses! This weekend I had the pleasure of being one of my favourite Princesses, Cinderella. Cinderella is a classical princess who loves playing games and singing lots of songs. I was joined by the lovely Elsa from our good friends over at The Storybook Princess. We started the party off by surprising the birthday girl and making special time to get to know all the children!
Once upon a time is a quiet little village called Little Eaton, a young princess called Layla, was waiting for two very special guests. It was her 4th Birthday and she was celebrating with a Royal Ball. The ball room looked beautiful and Layla’s mum had made so many decorations. She had even painted lanterns and Rapunzel on the walls! Layla had waited and waited for this day and it was finally here.
I’d been excited for this party for the longest time, and my partner Daniel was also looking forward to hosting it with me. ‘Ariel’ has always been one of my most favourite Princesses, I always loved the fact she was a mermaid and had this beautiful dazzling red hair! I wanted to completely transform for the party, so I even coloured my eyebrows red and customised some of my costume with beads and starfish!
